What you will have an opportunity to do:

Night Auditor – Front Desk

Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Overnight) | must be able to work weekends & Holidays

About the Role

Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, a proud member of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is seeking a highly motivated and service-driven Night Auditor to join our Front Desk team. This role is critical to delivering exceptional guest experiences during overnight hours, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining a welcoming, professional presence for our guests.

The ideal candidate brings a warm, engaging personality, strong attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. As a Night Auditor, you will create memorable first impressions, serve as a trusted resource for guests, and ensure smooth hotel operations during the overnight shift.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver exceptional guest service by creating a welcoming, professional, and engaging environment

  • Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring accuracy in reservations, billing, credit authorization, and special requests

  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for hotel amenities, services, and the local Roanoke area

  • Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and creativity, turning challenges into memorable service recoveries

  • Promote and sell hotel programs, services, and amenities

  • Complete nightly audit procedures with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Generate, review, print, and distribute daily and weekly audit and financial reports

  • Maintain and balance house bank and follow all cash-handling, posting, refund, and safe-deposit procedures

  • Communicate all pertinent overnight activity to the Manager on Duty

  • Maintain awareness of and comply with all emergency procedures and hotel policies

  • Collaborate professionally with other departments and assist as needed to ensure seamless operations

What are we looking for?

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous hotel front desk or Night Audit experience preferred

  • OnQ system experience preferred (training provided if not previously experienced)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently overnight

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Confident computer skills and ability to learn hotel systems quickly

  • Outgoing, engaging personality with a genuine desire to make a positive impact

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift

  • Must be available to work overnight hours, including weekends and holidays
