Job Description:
The Equipment Systems Specialist is responsible to maintain and/or repair the specialty system and controls within the facility (e.g., nurse call, security prox, and fire alarm systems, etc.) This position also supervises and inspects the work performed by the team and contract service providers, assuring that work is done properly and within a reasonable time frame. Coordinates with other trades to complete projects.Schedule: 6am-330pm

Job Essentials
1. Maintains and distributes work orders, invoices and inventories, etc. as needed based upon priority and as directed by the department Manager.
2. Accountable for preventative and routine maintenance on facility equipment / systems to ensure the following:
a. optimal operating efficiency
b. safety
c. hospital regulatory agencies requirements are met
3. Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures relative to the department, Federal, State, Local, Joint Commission and Intermountain Healthcare.
4. Communicates effectively with team members, management and clinical staff to ensure successful repair outcomes and good customer relations.
5. May be assigned to participate in committees and sub-committees as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of a trade school or four years experience in hospital maintenance, security, automation and control fields

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronic, mechanical and pneumatic equipment

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
- and -
Demonstrated ability to provide clear direction to staff regarding assignments, policies and deadlines, etc.
