Job Description

Overview

The production coordinator partners with internal departments and external vendors and is involved with every aspect of the production process: planning, design, production, and fabrication. This position ensures that print specs and product requirements are adhered to and that appropriate documentation has been received and stored. This position confirms that each job is both high quality and cost effective. If you have experience working with outside vendors, designers, buyers and a production environment this could be the position for you.

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of printing, assembly, and manufacturing specifications and product prototypes to facilitate planning, purchasing, quality assurance, and production processes
  • Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
  • Ensure lot control is properly managed and controlled
  • Coordinate production schedules, resources, and logistics for projects, addressing any issues or delays promptly
  • Participate in quality inspections, reporting and decision support with vendors
  • Build and maintain a positive working relationship with vendors, Esri customers, planners, and production team to ensure timely procurement of supplies and materials
  • Work with Production Manager to maintain and improve existing production processes
  • Use enterprise applications, SAP and Workfront, to communicate job progress and details in real time
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a print production environment and working with outside vendors
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs
  • Capable working in high level production activity with critical timelines supporting large conference events
  • Professional, detail oriented, self-starter, capable of working with limited supervision
  • Excellent communication skills including phone, business e-mail and video conferencing
  • Aptitude to interface with other employees at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or business

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP Materials Management or similar ERP system
  • Proficient in the use of Mac OS and Adobe Creative Suite products
