Job Description:

PRODUCTION CONTROL CLERK

Make meaningful contributions that fuel critical outcomes for some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects. Join GDIT as a Production Control Clerk for a career where your growth is just as important as the mission you support.

  • Compile and record production data from:
    • Customer orders
    • Work tickets
    • Product specifications
    • Individual worker production sheets
  • Follow prescribed recording procedures using various word processing and data entry techniques
  • Calculate production-related factors, including:
    • Types and quantities of items produced
    • Materials used
    • Amount of scrap
    • Frequency of defects
    • Worker and departmental production rates
  • Use tools such as computers, calculators, and spreadsheets to perform calculations and maintain records
  • Prepare production reports based on compiled and analyzed data, following established formats
  • Maintain organized files of all relevant documents and records
  • Compile detailed production sheets or work tickets to guide production workers in assembly and manufacturing processes
  • Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and production priorities
  • Compile material inventory records and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies
  • Create and maintain production charts, graphs, or pegboard displays for use by production and management personnel
  • Sort and distribute work tickets and materials as needed
  • Compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data for payroll preparation

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $20.24 - $26.45. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
