The person hired for the position of senior engineer, Automation and Robotics, Corporate Research Laboratory-Asia  will 1) perform and guide approved self-initiated or assigned programs of major importance to the assigned organization leading to and/or supporting innovative applications and extensions of new and existing technologies, products and/or businesses,

and 2) work in a cross-functional team-based and collaborative environment, will act as a principal investigator and will develop innovative robotics technologies. 

This position offers a unique opportunity to promote rapid commercialization and application of 3M technologies involving automated solutions.

Primary Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Develop novel applied robotics and/or automation techniques to enable new and unique customer solutions or increased performance / customer experience

• Effectively document, communicate, and disseminate research results through the framework of 3M's new technology and new product introduction programs

• Provide robotics expertise to support application engineering, product development and/or manufacturing operations and transfer technology to 3M’s technical community through consulting and teaching.

• 이 포지션은 자동화 솔루션이 적용된 3M 기술의 빠른 상용화 및 실용화를 추진할 수 있는 고유한 기회를 제공합니다.

주요 업무 책임 :

• 새로운 고객 솔루션을 가능하게 하거나 성능 및 고객 경험을 향상시키기 위한 새로운 응용 로봇 기술 및 자동화 기술 개발

• 3M의 신기술 및 신제품 도입 프로세스에 따라 연구 결과를 효과적으로 문서화, 전달 및 공유

• 응용 엔지니어링, 제품 개발, 제조 운영을 지원하기 위한 로봇 기술 전문성 제공, 그리고 컨설팅 및 교육을 통해 3M 기술 커뮤니티에 기술 이전 수행

Qualification

• Master or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

• 1-2 years of professional experience in the area of industrial robotics and automation

• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to excel in cross-functional environments

• Must be highly motivated, self-starting and a creative problem solver

• 높은 동기부여를 갖고 주도적으로 업무를 시작하며 창의적으로 문제를 해결할 수 있어야 합니다.

• 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in the area of industrial robotics and automation

• Evidence of strong, hands-on skills with industrial robotics and industrial manufacturing including experience with industrial robot integration, offline programming, robotics safety, and industrial control systems

•  Skills relating to the following:
  Control systems, PLC programming, ROS (Robot Operating System), industrial robotics, Python and/or C++ software development, open source software development, Linux operating system, Github

•  Knowledge in the following areas:
  Robotic path planning, machine vision, robotics safety, industrial automation

  제어 시스템, PLC 프로그래밍, ROS(Robot Operating System), 산업용 로봇, Python 및/또는 C++ 소프트웨어 개발, 오픈소스 소프트웨어 개발, Linux 운영체제, GitHub

• 다음 분야에 대한 지식 보유: 로봇 경로 계획, 머신 비전, 로봇 안전, 산업 자동화
