As a corporate and business strategy consultant at PwC, you will analyse client needs, provide consulting services across different strategic areas, and offer guidance and support to help clients develop and implement effective strategies that align with their business objectives and drive growth.

The Strategy & Operations Internship at PwC offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to work with industry-leading teams on strategic consulting engagements. Interns will gain firsthand experience and insights into the consulting profession, working closely with our professionals in developing innovative solutions to complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build data pipelines from into the AI platform

  • Ensure data quality: validation, cleaning, deduplication, anomaly detection

  • Build the data layer for practice management agents (financial data, staffing data, skills data, compliance data)

  • Implement data access controls aligned with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) design — ensure agents only access authorised data

  • Monitor data freshness and pipeline health — alert when source data is stale or pipelines fail

  • Manage data retention and deletion in line with Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and firm policies

Requirements:

  • A final year students and/or fresh graduates from reputable universities, majoring in Engineering, Computer/Technology sciences, and other relevant majors.

  • A minimum GPA is 3.00 (out of 4.00) or equivalent

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies is a plus.

  • Enthusiasm for learning and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.

  • Added value if you have strong skills in data science, technology-related, other relevant certifications.

  • Able to join full time at our Yogyakarta Office for a minimum period of 3 months.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Data engineering experience

  • Strong Python + SQL

  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) / ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipeline design and orchestration (Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar)

  • Experience with Azure data services (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, Cosmos DB)

  • API integration — consuming REST API (Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interface) from enterprise systems (Oracle, Salesforce, Workday)

  • Data quality frameworks and monitoring

  • Understanding of data governance, access control, and privacy requirements

Prioritized Experience/Skills:

  • Knowledge of PDPA / data privacy regulations

  • Experience with Microsoft Graph API

  • Familiarity with vector databases and embedding pipelines
