Job Description

Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, helping business owners operate, increase sales, engage customers, and keep employees happy.

Toast’s Go-to-Market (GTM) Technology team powers the systems and experiences that enable our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to grow, engage, and retain customers at scale. From CRM and lead management to marketing automation and customer lifecycle tooling, we build the foundation that drives how revenue moves through Toast.

As a Senior Product Manager, GTM Technology, you will own a critical domain within our GTM systems ecosystem — shaping both the strategy and execution of tools that directly impact revenue generation and customer experience. This role sits at the intersection of enterprise systems and modern product management, requiring someone who can navigate complex platforms like Salesforce while bringing a best-in-class, user-centered product mindset to internal tooling.

You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and cross-functional GTM stakeholders to build scalable, intuitive, and high-impact solutions — elevating our systems from functional tools to thoughtfully designed products that teams rely on every day.

A day in the life (Responsibilities)

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a key area of Toast’s GTM technology ecosystem, aligning investments to company growth goals and GTM performance metrics.
  • Lead end-to-end product development across GTM systems — from discovery and problem definition through delivery, measurement, and iteration.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations leaders to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate complex business processes (lead management, routing, quoting, lifecycle management, integrations) into scalable, well-designed product solutions.
  • Bring a modern product mindset to internal tools — prioritizing usability, speed, experimentation, and continuous improvement, not just feature delivery.
  • Drive improvements across core platforms such as Salesforce and adjacent GTM tools, ensuring systems are extensible, well-integrated, and optimized for performance.
  • Make informed prioritization and tradeoff decisions, balancing short-term business needs with long-term scalability and system health.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design to deliver high-quality solutions that meet both technical and user experience standards.
  • Define and track success metrics, using data to evaluate impact and continuously refine the product experience.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders and align teams around a clear product direction, driving accountability and measurable outcomes.

What you'll need to thrive (Requirements)

  • 5–8+ years of Product Management experience, with ownership over complex product areas or systems.
  • Experience working with SaaS platforms and GTM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Braze, Gainsight), including an understanding of integrations, data models, and system constraints.
  • Strong product instincts with a track record of building intuitive, user-centered experiences, even within internal or enterprise tools.
  • Ability to operate comfortably across both technical systems and business workflows, translating between stakeholders with clarity.
  • Demonstrated experience making data-driven decisions and owning outcomes tied to business impact (e.g., efficiency, conversion, revenue).
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to navigate ambiguity, breaking down complex problems into actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions across teams.

What will help you stand out (Nonessential Skills/Nice to Haves)

  • Experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Enablement, or Marketing Operations environments.
  • Familiarity with designing or improving end-to-end GTM funnels (lead → opportunity → close → expansion).
  • Experience bringing modern product practices (experimentation, UX focus, rapid iteration) into traditionally systems-driven or operational domains.
