Perform a variety of payroll and clerical duties under direct supervision of Payroll Manager. Compile and record employee time and payroll data. May compute employees' time worked, production, and commission, post wages and deductions, or prepare paychecks. Responsible for tasks requiring initiative, organization, and independent judgment in solving routine problems.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely processing of payroll; input and maintain payroll data; check payrolls for accuracy prior to submission; prepare complex manual payments when required; complete financial reconciliations.
  • Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.
  • Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents.
  • Help manage internal client relationships by supporting others to build effective working relations.

Skills

  • Manage and implement a payroll system.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in systems and solutions for executing payroll, accounting, and other specialized financial tasks.
  • Create reports for various audiences as relevant, in a lucid and effective manner, keeping in mind the purpose of reports.
