Job Description

Role Name - Manager, Software Engineering, India

The Problem We’re Solving

Most disaster recovery is a checkbox. What happens when a ransomware attack doesn't just take down one server, but knocks out the entire ecosystem of suppliers and trading partners for weeks? In healthcare, that’s a catastrophe.

We are building the "Shadow Grid." It’s an industry-wide, high-availability trading platform that steps in when the primary systems fail. This isn't just a backup; it’s a fully operational trading hub that ensures hospitals get what they need to save lives, even when primary systems fail.

What We Need You to Do

We are looking for a technical heavyweight who hasn't lost their love for building. You’ll be the founding Engineering Manager for this initiative. Your first 90 days will be a mix of:

· Building the "Special Forces" Team: You need to hire the best full-stack engineers. We aren't looking for "cogs"; we need engineers who understand why we’re building this and can own their vertical.

· Architecting for the "Worst Case": You'll lead the design of a system that lives on Azure but leverages other datastores for transactional speed and NoSQL/Posrgres by leveraging event-driven architectures and SOA principles.

· Driving Execution: You will own the Agile/Scrum process, ensuring the team stays lean and fast while maintaining a high bar for code quality and stable deployments.

· Speaking Product: You’ll sit with stakeholders and translate their "what-ifs" into a roadmap. You need to be able to explain complex scaling trade-offs to a Product Leader and then turn around and debate Angular state management with a front-end lead.

The Tech Stack You’ll Own

· Our core is built on .NET/C# and Azure. You’ll oversee the evolution of this stack into a resilient, globally distributed system.

· The Frontend: A mission-critical, high-performance UI built in Angular. It needs to be fast and intuitive—people will be using this under extreme stress.

· The Data Layer: You’ll manage a hybrid architecture. Postgres for heavy-duty trading transactions and Snowflake/NoSQL for the analytics and supply chain visibility.

· Data Transformation: You will solve the "language" problem of healthcare supply chains—transforming and mapping complex data across XML, JSON, and various EDI versions.

· Cloud & Serverless: While Azure is home, you’ll utilize modern cloud patterns including AWS Lambda and Step Functions where they provide the best-of-breed orchestration.

· The "Brains": Integrating AI/ML to predict tomorrow’s needs of the hospitals

Who You Are

· Systems Architect: You are comfortable designing complex event-driven architectures and managing the intricacies of distributed microservices.

· A Proven Leader: You have a track record of building and mentoring full-stack engineering teams. You are a talent magnet who protects your team from "noise."

· Technically Deep: You have a strong background in the Microsoft stack (.NET/C#, Azure). You can still spot a race condition in a PR or an inefficient query a mile away.

· DevOps Champion: You believe in Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You have experience in creating automated build pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps

· Operations Minded: You don't just "ship it." You use application monitoring and insights to proactively improve the stability and performance of the system.

To be successful, the following qualifications are mandatory

· Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

· 10-15 years of experience building high availability applications using Microsoft stack

· 3+ years of people leadership experience

· Proficiency in Clean Architecture, CQRS, Event-Driven Architecture

· Expertise in Microservices architecture and service decomposition strategies

· Hands-on experience with messaging systems like Kafka or Azure Service Bus

· Deep understanding of Design Principles, SOLID, design patterns, asynchronous programming, Dependency Injection, and middleware development

· Knowledge of Entity Framework, LINQ, PostgreSQL, MongoDB

· Implementing responsive
