Job Responsibilities:
- Operation of experimental technology: follow SOP of PCR, glue recovery, etc. and complete the delivery of PCR products
- Follow the sequencing sheet or MES system and the previous handover, sort out and summarize the schemes that need to be done on the day, and record the carriers and PCR products that need to be prepared for their posts
- Linearization of vectors and fragments: according to standard procedures, linearize the required vectors and fragments with specific enzymes at specific temperatures and buffers
- Connection and transformation: according to the experimental scheme, the products delivered by PCR and the products prepared by employees should be matched with the linearized vector. After that, splice into a ring through a specific connection method, and then introduce into specific competent cells through heat shock. Then expand, culture and coat on a specific resistant plate
- Record all data and results in specified forms with accuracy and responsibility
- Handover experiments properly, analyze the problems of uncompleted experiments, put forward improvement plans, and report the uncompleted experiments to the supervisor
- Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as life sciences, biological chemistry etc
- Some familiarity in the use of various laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Good technical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate and precise work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
- Available to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with 2 rest days that may not always fall on weekends
