Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Manager, Internal Controls to join the Risk & Core Platforms (RCP) team. In this role, you will manage issues from intake through resolution, driving root cause analysis, evaluating remediation strategies, and supporting long-term risk mitigation. You will also support RCP-owned incidents throughout their lifecycle.
This position requires strong product and operations knowledge, along with experience in risk, project, and program management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while leading cross-functional efforts. You will also maintain accurate records and deliver clear, concise communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identify issues and recommend best practices for internal control processes.
  • Lead functional projects and programs to enhance internal control effectiveness.
  • Partner with teams to analyze business trends and their impact on internal controls.
  • Develop and implement strategies for process improvements within the internal controls function.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations through effective internal control measures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) managing risks, controls, compliance obligations, or risk program execution in a complex, regulated environment. 

  • Proven track record in issue management, business continuity planning, exam coordination, or related internal control functions. 

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, influence enterprise-level decision-making, and navigate complex stakeholder landscapes. 

  • Advanced analytical and research skills, including the ability to analyze large datasets with a high degree of accuracy, identify patterns and trends, and develop insightful reports. 

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate independently, manage multiple competing priorities under tight deadlines, and exhibit a strong sense of urgency when required. 

  • Expert-level oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively convey complex information to all levels of management. 

  • Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence priorities and drive accountability in diverse team environments. 

  • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools, with a strong ability to track progress, manage dependencies, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Excellent organizational and presentation skills. 

  • Results-oriented mindset with a deep understanding of risk management principles and the impact of decisions on the business and our customers. 


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support RCA completion for Incidents, entering any resulting Issues into the system of record identified during root cause analysis, as well as other support necessary during the life of the Incident. 

  • Identify issues and recommend best practices for internal control processes. 

  • Lead functional projects and programs to enhance internal control effectiveness. 

  • Partner with teams to analyze business trends and their impact on internal controls. 

  • Develop and implement strategies for process improvements within the internal controls function. 

  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations through effective internal control measures.
     


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Standardize incident and issue management processes to ensure consistent execution and comprehensive data capture. 

  • Facilitate the full risk lifecycle, from intake and triage through mitigation, recovery, and resolution. 

  • Meticulously document timelines, impact assessments, and mitigation/resolution steps. 

  • Support root cause analyses where issues are identified, and drive implementation of robust remediation solutions. 

  • Develop and deliver clear, compelling communications on findings to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership. 

  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure accountability and drive successful handling of issues; escalate proactively as needed. 

  • Influence prioritization of resilient, holistic solutions that address root causes and drive implementation of controls and process improvements. 

  • Identify patterns, trends, and typologies through comprehensive end-to-end analysis.

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

Primary Location | Pay Range:

Scottsdale, Arizona | ($100,500.00 - $149,600.00 Annually)

Additional Location(s) | Pay Range:

San Jose, California | ($116,500.00 - $173,250.00 Annually) Austin, Texas | ($106,000.00 - $157,300.00 Annually) Omaha, Nebraska | ($100,500.00 - $149,600.00 Annually)

Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
