Position Description:
This position is responsible for supporting the forecasting and reporting of Lilly’s global taxes, including the tax provision / effective tax rate, tax balance sheet accounts, tax footnote, and other SEC disclosures. This role will contribute to both the quarterly and annual US GAAP reporting processes and to the company’s strategic planning processes.
Responsibilities:
Prepare calculations for forecasting and reporting processes, including tax journal entries
Work broadly across the tax department, gathering and analyzing federal, foreign, and state tax information used in tax reporting processes
Business partner with non-tax Lilly departments
Implement and maintain tools to modernize processes
Research tax accounting and other technical tax areas
Ensure proper internal controls and compliance procedures are followed Interact with external auditors
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
CPA or working toward CPA license
Minimum 3 years of corporate income tax experience

Additional Skills/Preferences:
ASC 740 experience in a multinational company or public accounting firm SEC tax reporting experience
Strong Excel expertise or aptitude, including experience with Power Query and / or Power BI
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Tax Provision software experience

Overtime may be required at peak project times

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$63,000 - $149,600Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
