Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Job Description: We are seeking a meticulous and technically inclined Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Software Verification and Validation team, focusing on regression testing.  This role is ideal for someone with a background in Electronics, Communications, and Computer Engineering who can verify software requirements and validate system requirements.

As an SDET, you will be responsible for assuring the quality of automotive products by performing systems validation and software verification. You will be collaborating with diverse teams across multiple sites across the world with a common goal which is to provide safe and compliant software and hardware systems designed for various vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Review system and software requirements and features. Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues. Develop test plans.
  • Design test specifications. Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test cases. Perform regression tests. Analyze test results, identify and report issues, and provide solution proposals.
  • Develop and maintain test frameworks. Identify and propose improvements on test strategies, approaches, and methodologies.
  • Assure requirements coverage and test compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics EngineeringComputer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in the development and execution of system and/or software tests, preferably for automotive products.
  • Familiarity with test frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Strong in English language conversations, documentation skills, and timely reporting.
  • Familiarity with structured software development and testing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledgeable in Automotive SPICE and Functional Safety.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Basic electronics and hardware knowledge, including reading and analyzing schematic diagrams.
  • Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
