EHS Senior Manager – Chemical Management (Global)

Leads large team of experienced EH&S generalist professionals or EH&S generalist team leaders, overseeing short- to mid-term tactical and operational plans for lines of business in relation to EH&S programs. Develops EH&S policies through the management of permits, reports, and audits, and assesses environmental opportunities in support of EH&S strategy. Communicates these initiatives and policies to EH&S professionals and upper level management.

Job Description:

• Implements initiatives that drive continuous improvements and achieve and maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
• Conducts in-depth analysis of the portfolio for environmental opportunities to determine environmental compliance.
• Collaborates with sites to define controls for EHS program to maintain the policies.
• Assesses EHS impacts and develops/implements programs to reduce risk as well as achieve and maintain compliance.
• Manages environmental permits and reporting criteria.
• Establishes and tracks plans to achieve and maintain compliance and to reduce risk.
• Leads audits of the implementation of the EHS management system at factories and service locations.
• Leads the communication of global EHS initiatives and comprehensive performance to EHS professionals and upper level management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• 10+ years of EHS experience, incl. 5+ years in global or regional chemical management leadership
• Deep expertise in global chemical regulations (REACH, TSCA, GHS, etc.)
• Strong background with SDS authoring, risk tools, regulatory software
• Understanding of sustainability, green chemistry & product stewardship
• Proven ability to influence across cultures and functions
• Certifications such as CIH or CSP are a plus
• Fluent in English; additional languages welcome
