Team Leader Credit

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)

THE ROLE

As the Team Leader for the Scandinavian Credit Team, you will play a key role in ensuring high‑quality credit operations across the region. You will report directly to the Credit Manager SCA while leading a team of Credit Analysts, supporting them in delivering accurate credit assessments, maintaining professional standards and driving continuous improvement.

Main duties:

• Lead and support a team of Credit Analysts, ensuring efficient workload distribution and high performance;

• Act as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day operational matters within the Scandinavian credit portfolio;

• Maintain close communication with stakeholders across Circle K to support effective credit decision‑making;

• Drive process improvements, standardization initiatives and quality enhancements;

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members;

• Conduct performance reviews and coaching.

Qualifications & Experience:

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field;

• Understanding of credit risk principles;

• Proficiency and understanding of ERP systems;

• Experienced MS Excel user;

• Fluent in English (both written and verbal) to communicate with colleagues and stakeholders in Europe;

• Experience in people leadership or team coordination;

• Strong communication skills;

• Proactive, responsible and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
