Role overview:
We are seeking a Sr Product Manager - T+ (Marketplace) Item Charter to define and execute the strategy for how Target+ engages, guides, and enables sellers at scale. You will lead the strategy, vision, and execution of our Seller Portal.  You will shape the ecosystem that empowers sellers, expands guest choice, and delivers scalable growth
In this role, you will lead a charter that improves seller activation, compliance, performance, and adoption across the marketplace lifecycle. You will own the systems, signals, and experiences that shape seller behavior—driving measurable improvements in marketplace quality, operational efficiency, and seller success.

This is a highly cross-functional, data-driven role requiring strong product judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to influence outcomes without authority. You will partner closely with engineering, design, operations, and analytics teams to deliver intelligent, scalable solutions that help sellers take the right actions at the right time.

As a Sr Product Manager, you will take lead on - Owning seller lifecycle engagement, including activation, adoption, performance improvement, and re-engagement. Designing data-driven nudges, reminders, and interventions that influence seller behavior and improve compliance, quality, and productivity. Enabling sellers to easily understand what actions they need to take and why, reducing friction and support dependency. Driving measurable behavior change in seller success. Define KPIs for marketplace success Use data and experimentation (A/B testing, cohort analysis) to refine features and improve adoption. Drive AI/ML powered insights


About you: 

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience. 

  • 6+ years of hands-on Product Management experience or equivalent domain experience

  • Proven success in building and scaling marketplaces particularly in building seller-facing platforms - Item setup / catalog / PIM systems; Seller onboarding and listing workflows

  • Operational tools, workflows, and error management systems

  • Strong collaboration across business, tech, and operations teams

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to think strategically while driving operational excellence.

Must-Have Experience:

  • Core experience in marketplaces (3P sellers, merchant tools)

  • Ownership of catalog/item setup or listing systems

  • Experience building or improving seller onboarding / ingestion pipelines

  • Strong background in workflow systems, ops tooling, and error handling

  • Proven cross-functional leadership (business + engineering + ops)

  • End-to-end product ownership (beyond feature-level scope)
