Schedule

This is a 3 - 4 x 11 rotating shift working alternating Wednesdays.

Shifts Available

  • Sun - Wed 1st shift (5am - 4:30pm)
  • Wed - Sat 2nd shift (4pm - 3:30am)

Purpose

This Lead role is accountable for driving inspection excellence across the organization. In addition to performing complex metrology work, this position provides day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and coordination for the inspection team. The Lead ensures high standards are upheld, inspection priorities are managed effectively, and knowledge is developed across the team. Through technical expertise and a hands-on presence, you will guide peers, foster collaboration, and deliver accurate inspection results that ensure compliance with engineering specifications. 

The Role

  • Perform advanced inspection and metrology work using scanners (FARO, Romer, Creaform, GOM, etc.) and 3D software (PolyWorks, Zeiss). 
  • Deliver accurate inspection files, data, and reports to ensure compliance with engineering requirements. 
  • Lead by example through direct hands-on inspection work (at least 50% of shift). 
  • Receive and provide clear shift handoffs with both written and verbal updates to maintain continuity. 
  • Prioritize and delegate daily tasks, balancing team capacity and operational needs. 
  • Conduct spot checks, provide feedback, and uphold high-quality standards across the team. 
  • Mentor and train peers, including onboarding of new inspectors and cross-training initiatives. 
  • Maintain situational awareness of work progress, equipment status, and team needs throughout the shift 
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team culture, demonstrating emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Ensure the Metrology Lab remains clean, organized, and safe in alignment with 5S practices. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls 
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Quality Inspection or Metrology role in aerospace, automotive, or other high-precision production environment.
