Job Description:

Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a key growth business within TDS that provides the opportunity to make an impact with top-tier organizations. Global Transaction Banking technology team focuses on delivering top tier technology solutions to enable and grow the global GTB business.

Summary

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead and execute complex application releases across enterprise platforms. This is a hands‑on individual contributor role requiring deep expertise in release engineering, Azure cloud deployments, and CI/CD automation, with strong cross‑functional coordination skills. The ideal candidate will own end‑to‑end release execution across non‑production and production environments, ensuring release quality, operational readiness, and continuous improvement through automation.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute and coordinate application releases across non‑production and production environments
  • Own cross‑functional release activities, cutovers, and deployment windows
  • Own deployments on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure App Services (ASP)
  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Ensure release readiness, environment parity, validation, and rollback strategies
  • Drive release documentation including runbooks, cutover plans, and deployment checklists
  • Support release governance, compliance, and operational best practices
  • Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement in release processes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer.
  • Strong experience in application release management / release engineering
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure Cloud, including - Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Service, Helm Charts, Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Strong CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions
  • Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and manage complex, multi‑team releases
  • Solid understanding of: Deployment strategies, Security considerations in release management, Operational readiness and production support practices
