DESCRIPTION:
We seek a Credit Analyst I to join our Order to Cash team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In this role, you'll contribute to managing credit exposure and collections while supporting our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll handle corporate client accounts, perform detailed financial analyses, and make credit decisions to minimize risk while maximizing business opportunities. Working with cross-functional teams, you'll investigate and resolve customer disputes, manage credit holds, and contribute to process improvements. Your analytical skills and customer-focused approach will help maintain strong client relationships while ensuring timely collections and sound credit management.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree required, no prior experience required
• Preferred Fields of Study: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional certifications in credit management or financial analysis are a plus
• B2+ English proficiency in both written and spoken communication
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar)
• Experience with banking portals and credit management tools (Cforia, GetPaid)
• Strong analytical and financial statement analysis skills
• Excellent customer service and dispute resolution abilities
• Experience in shared service center environment preferred
• Knowledge of credit risk assessment and collections processes
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Experience with process improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
