Job Description

Leading the future in luxury electric and mobility
At Lucid, we set out to introduce the most captivating, luxury electric vehicles that elevate the human experience and transcend the perceived limitations of space, performance, and intelligence. Vehicles that are intuitive, liberating, and designed for the future of mobility.

We plan to lead in this new era of luxury electric by returning to the fundamentals of great design – where every decision we make is in service of the individual and environment. Because when you are no longer bound by convention, you are free to define your own experience.

Come work alongside some of the most accomplished minds in the industry. Beyond providing competitive salaries, we’re providing a community for innovators who want to make an immediate and significant impact. If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.

The Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer – Battery will play a lead role in developing, launching, and sustaining automated test systems for Lucid’s high‑voltage battery module and battery pack manufacturing lines. This role is central to EV energy storage validation and focuses on in‑process and end‑of‑line (EOL) testing to ensure safety, performance, reliability, and traceability of battery systems. The engineer will work closely with Design Engineering, Controls, Quality, Production, and external equipment suppliers to deliver robust, scalable, and data‑driven test solutions.

You Will:

  • Review and approve battery test specifications and change requests from design engineering, acting as the manufacturing test authority for battery cells (as applicable), modules, and packs.
  • Analyze and provide feedback on test sequences, limits, cycle time, process flow, and failure‑mode handling for battery EOL and sub‑assembly test stations.
  • Design and own test system hardware for battery testing, including system layout, cabinet and rack design, HV/LV routing, connectorization, shielding, grounding, and thermal considerations for high‑energy systems.
  • Develop modular and scalable test applications with clear operator interfaces for battery testing, including test sequencing, parameter management, fault messaging, and data logging.
