Position Summary:
The Materials Planning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing raw material planning across the division’s supply chain network. This is a supervisor role which ensures material availability to support production schedules, optimizes inventory levels, and drives alignment with global supply chain strategies. The position requires strong leadership, cross functional collaboration, and strategic thinking to manage risk, improve efficiency, and deliver on key business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and develop a team of raw material planners.
- Establish clear performance metrics and accountability for planning activities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Planning & Execution:
- Oversee raw material planning processes to ensure timely availability for production while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Align planning strategies with S&OE and SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) processes and divisional goals.
- Monitor and manage inventory entitlement across the network to optimize working capital.
- Network Coordination:
- Drive standardization of planning processes across all sites to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to resolve supply constraints and mitigate risks.
- Support global initiatives such as lead time reduction, agility programs, and sustainability goals.
- Risk Management:
- Perform quarterly risk buy analyses to support revenue targets and mitigate supply disruptions.
- Develop contingency plans for critical materials and supplier challenges.
- Performance & Reporting:
- Track and report key KPIs including inventory levels, material availability, and planning accuracy.
- Provide executive-level summaries on network performance and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field is preferred.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of SIOP processes, inventory management, and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $68,200.00–$102,250.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
