Sr MineStar Application Specialist

Serves as a Senior application specialist in Mining Technology industry. Leverages mining technology application knowledge to improve mining operations, process, change management, increase customer loyalty, and improve sales force effectiveness. This position supports new implementations for MineStar Fleet.. Also supplies recommendations back through the Product Development group to influence future product development. This position will influence market requirements, trends, and key areas for product improvement. The technology specialist is assigned to a region and will report on the status of accounts and will be supported closely by more experienced Application Specialists. Provide continuous, on‑the‑job coaching to ensure correct system usage and optimal operational performance. Deliver focused technical coaching to build autonomy, confidence, and operational maturity. Strong supervisory skills with a focus on accountability and performance. Effective supervision driving consistency, safety, and results. 

What you will do: 

• Acts in behalf of site manager as needed facing customers and or employees. 

• Provide team supervision and leadership in the Site Manager’s absence. 

• Serve as acting supervisor for the team during Site Manager absences 

• Drive customer recognition of value of product feature design, improved processes, and change management. 

• Support customers by providing  product application expertise  

• Support customers on recommendations to improve operations using MineStar technology 

• Consults with site on basic features and processes are in place to support mining technology 

• Benchmarks site performance using several metrics to ensure continuous improvement  

• Recommends MineStar Best Practices and processes 

• Support customers through the change management process  

• Supports basic training of customer personnel in the areas of expertise

Basic Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree: Mining Engineering (desired) or similar 

• Masters degree related to mining operations/technology (desired) 

• Experience in the Mining Industry or Machine Technology Experience. 

• Position requires previous mine site experience, or significantly related dealer and customer support activities within the Continuous Improvement, service, operations, or commercial areas. 

• Previous supervision experience  

• English Advanced 

Top Candidates Will Also Have: 

• Knowledge in data analytics and experience in database reporting (ex. SQL, SAP BO, Power BI) 

• Working background in Mine Operation Dispatcher, Mining Planning, or FMS 

• Knowledge of mining technology products and product applications, including FMS. 

• English Advanced 

• +4 years' experience in mining technology environments 

Additional Information:

• This position is based at a mine site and follows a rotating roster schedule.
