Position Summary
Ideal candidate will reside in the eastern or central time zone.
Oversees the day-to-day management and leadership of critical aspects of plan implementation operations for the Student Health business. Manages a team of benefit and digital implementation managers, supporting all aspects of customer benefit plan implementation, including website creation, waiver administration and ID Cards. Effectively manages implementation team dynamics and provides direction/coaching to team members. Adheres to and manages team through appropriate compliance procedures and documentation, as well as customer service and issue resolution. Creates and manages processes to ensure efficient and accurate benefit and website implementations that are state compliant.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years work experience in plan or customer operations.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with internal business partners and plan sponsors, understanding their needs, addressing inquiries, and providing exceptional oversight and communication.
- Supports implementation managers who must collaborate with plan sponsors to understand their benefit plan requirements and facilitate the design and implementation of customized healthcare benefit plans.
- Provides input to account management with the negotiation and renewal of contracts with plan sponsors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both parties. This includes review of proposed Performance Guarantees impacting implementation functions and deliverables.
- Counsels plan sponsors regarding benefit plan design, cost management, and regulatory compliance by providing expert advice and guidance.
- Analyzes plan performance data, financial metrics, and utilization trends to identify opportunities for improvement and cost containment; works with management to provide details and collaborate with Finance partners to communicate process improvements.
- Develops and delivers educational materials, presentations, and training sessions for plan sponsors, keeping them informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in benefit plan management.
- Collaborates with internal departments, such as account management, claims, customer service, and provider networks, to ensure effective issue resolution and maintain strong relationships with plan sponsors.
- Interviews, hires, and develops talent, provides guidance and coaching, and fosters a high-performance culture.
- Oversees ongoing training to ensure all team members are fully versed and compliant within their respective roles.
- Tracks monthly metrics around implementation document turnaround times, quality and adherence to procedures.

Education

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$67,900.00 - $199,144.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
