Job Description

Become a part of our caring community

At Humana, a Fortune 100 healthcare technology leader, we are seeking a Senior IT Product Manager to provide high-value technical solutions that support enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. Our technology landscape is rapidly evolving, and this technology leader will manage multiple programs while driving product strategy across cloud-based platforms and infrastructure services. You will play a critical role representing the voice of the customer to the team. You will own the articulation and prioritization of backlog in small increments of value that can be delivered in short iterations. And you will help shape product direction by creating features, writing user stories, and applying innovation. We are looking for expertise in cross-organizational navigation, backlog ownership, Agile delivery, and effective leadership without direct authority.

Schedule will be Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.

Key Responsibilities include the following:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Deliver to a multi-year roadmap for cloud-enabled or infrastructure-focused solutions.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into relevant features that account for dependencies across networking, cloud platforms, and DevOps ecosystems.
  • Balance short-term priorities with long-term architecture and operational needs.

Backlog Ownership & Agile Delivery

  • Build a well-defined, prioritized product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iteration ceremonies in partnership with engineering teams.
  • Hold teams accountable for sprint commitments while identifying risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies.
  • Navigate a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders, including Cloud Engineering, Networking, Security, Architecture, Operations, and Business Units.
  • Exercise strong influence —driving alignment across teams with differing objectives.
  • Provide communication to senior leadership regarding progress, risks, and escalations.
  • Understand and translate technical concepts such as load balancing, DNS configurations, API gateways, container orchestration, and pipeline automation into requirements and business outcomes.

Program & Portfolio Management

  • Lead multiple programs and workstreams simultaneously, coordinating resource needs, timelines, dependencies, and cross-team impacts.

Use your skills to make an impact

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience in large enterprise or technology-heavy environments.
  • Experience managing large, complex products or multiple programs concurrently.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Base-level understanding of Networking fundamentals, DNS, and CI/CD.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies with strong backlog management discipline.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Experience holding teams accountable in a way that maintains partnership and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise cloud migrations or infrastructure transformation programs.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub, or equivalent.
  • Exposure to container platforms or API gateway technologies.

Work-At-Home Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
