We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our fast-paced customer delivery organization in the role of Vehicle Test Engineer - ADAS. This outstanding opportunity allows you to support the organization’s efforts to adapt NVIDIA’s autonomous driving software stack to various customer vehicle variants and drive the function behavior to maturity. It involves tuning, debugging and adapting self-driving software in target vehicles and on customer sites/testing grounds.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Integrate ADAS functions and tune the software parameters to achieve the best customer

  • experience. Implement algorithmic improvements and solutions.

  • Drive the roll-out onto the fleet across dozens of carlines.

  • Install, troubleshoot, and operate software.

  • Understand the quality standards and encouraged functionality of brand-new features. Align

  • and report results to customers and the development organization.

  • Analyze and diagnose the underlying events contributing to these metrics, identify issues,

  • and help improve the product experience.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in an engineering field, and at least 3 years of work experience in a related industry.

  • Proficiency in embedded systems and C/C++, as well as a scripting language (Python, Bash, etc.) to operate a complex software stack.

  • Ability to work efficiently with Linux and QNX environments on the command line.

  • Well-rounded knowledge of how an autonomous vehicle stack (or similar large system) works, and practical experience dealing with the challenges in integrating many components into one solution.

  • Excellent communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management, task prioritization skills, and soft skills for customer interaction.

  • Passion for working on cars, autonomous driving, or software engineering.

  • Onsite attendance in one of the development and testing locations in the greater Sindelfingen/Stuttgart area is required several times per week. Flexibility of work hours and willingness to travel around Europe to support testing in many locations.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience as an ADAS software engineer at a Tier 1 or OEM.

  • Detailed understanding of the algorithms in an autonomous parking or driving stack.

  • Understanding of vehicle architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).

  • EU driver license and advanced driving skills for test driving prototypes that require special training and licensing (T2).
