Role: Associate Scientist, Bioanalytical Methods
This is a fully onsite role based at our customer’s site in Wilmington, DE. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position, and any relocation costs will be the responsibility of the candidate.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.

This role will be 100% onsite in Wilmington, DE
Discover Impactful Work: Associate Scientist will conduct the cell culture lab works in both cell line development (CLD) and cell culture process development (Upstream) teams to support the development of stable manufacture cell lines that express the therapeutic antibodies.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities):
Conduct experiments for bioanalytical methods (such as ELISA potency assays, CHO HCP assays and Residual Pro A assays).
Conduct routine testing to support early stage development, including cell line development, process development, and formulation development.
Present/conclude data summaries.
Operate and maintain bioanalytical instrumentation in compliance with all safety rules and procedures.
Equipment: ELISA plate reader and SoftMax Pro software
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency):
BS degree within chemical engineering, biochemical engineering biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or cell biology and 0- 1+ years of experience in an appropriate subject area or working towards relevant qualification
Basic knowledge in aseptic cell culture is required, hands-on experience in cell culture process development is helpful, proven experience is a plus.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Collaborative, organized, and pay attention to details.
In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Working Conditions and Environment:
• Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
• Occasional drives to site locations, occasional domestic travel.
• Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.
• Rare exposure to skin and lung irritants, radiation, toxic materials and hazardous waste.
• Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.
• Exposure to fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures on rare occasions.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.
• Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment.
• Occasional mobility needed.
• Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
• Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
• Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups.
• Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.
• Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task.
• Regular and consistent attendance.
