What You'll Do
- Design and implement technical solutions that keep the internal Verkada engine running
- Build and deliver improvements to systems that allow Verkada to seamlessly transact and ship all around the world
- Improve systems observability and invest in reliability & correctness of data
- Develop customer empathy to propose improvements to systems
- Lead projects from ideation to release
- Help and mentor junior engineers
What You Bring
- 5+ years of software engineering with a focus on distributed systems at scale
- Shipped customer facing products or internal tools in the past
- Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Passion for observability and reliability
- In-depth expertise in distributed systems and data processing
- AWS Cloud experience touching foundational blocks like: Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, Airflow, Athena, DynamoDB, VPC, and EC2.
- Bonus: Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or eCommerce platforms
