Boeing Brand Experiences (BBE) is seeking a Senior Public Tour Operations Coordinator to support the growing tour and experiences portfolio at Boeing Future of Flight (BFoF). This is a full-time position which requires work on weekends, evenings and holidays, and is based on-site at the Mukilteo, WA facility.

As a world-renowned public facility and one of Puget Sound’s most popular tourist attractions, Boeing Future of Flight typically welcomes more than 300,000 visitors every year to experience tours of the Everett factory along with a 26,000 square foot Gallery of interactive and educational exhibits showcasing a wide range of aerospace innovation and STEM learning concepts. Experiences also include private events and public programs featuring Boeing themed concepts.

Operations Coordinator is a shared function where individual Coordinators own specific work assignments that support development and daily delivery of high-quality brand experiences throughout the onsite BFoF visitor journey. With guidance from the BFoF leadership team, this role executes and implements approved policies and procedures, oversees daily operations for all onsite experiences, and assists with the development of new programs. The optimal candidate for this position is detail-oriented and proactive, demonstrates sound judgment and business acumen, collaborates well, is an enthusiastic and inspirational team leader, and creates a culture of hospitality within a fast-paced environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Brand Ambassador: Role model outstanding visitor engagement skills and Boeing content expertise, demonstrating deep understanding of Boeing Brand objectives and values. Professionally represent Boeing Brand Experiences and BFoF leadership attributes.
  • Tour and Experience Operations: Produce exceptional experiences by supervising operations that may include public tour, theater, gallery and interactives. Ensure timed experiences operate on schedule and reflect high quality Boeing brand presentation standards while prioritizing safety. Support facility rental program and special event activities as required.
  • Lead on Duty Rotation: Act as rotational Lead on Duty (LOD) to guide daily facility operational excellence and lead emergency response. Proactively address operational obstacles and work collaboratively with internal and external partners to create appropriate solutions.
  • Training and Recruitment: Oversee operations training with standardized training tools. Provide coaching and team development training. Lead interview and audition processes for talent recruitment.
  • Sales and Service: Administer ticketing system and lead onsite sales and service processes to optimize revenue and engagement. Monitor and report on business KPIs. Actively support customer service channels and partners. Evaluate visitor satisfaction and observe and report on experience and procedural standards for continuous product and process improvement.
  • Schedule and Resource Planning: Provide timely and accurate team schedules to reflect optimal labor utilization. Forecast labor and operational resource needs based on operating plan. Communicate with onsite business partners to ensure cohesive operations and business support.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance policies and processes related to tours, team, or facility operations through effective project management and documentation creation and maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Ability to Perform the Following Requirements:

  • Current required schedule: Includes at least one weekend day as well as shared coverage of holidays when the facility is open to the public, 100% onsite. Note: opening hours are subject to change based on seasonal and special event activities
  • Must be able to work in standing or walking positions for up to six (6) hours per shift including stairs. Limited lifting, reaching, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds, gripping, squatting, neck and head rotation, bending and twisting
  • Ability to use radio with earpiece, microphone, computer, cell phone, writing implements, cleaning supplies, PPE equipment 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in a role which required strong customer service and communication skills, problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations, and a deeper understanding of services and policies
  • 3+ years of experience multi-tasking and working in a team environment
  • Ability to work on weekends and holidays regularly

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in a formal or informal leadership role
  • Experience with technology related to ticketing or POS (point of sale) systems
  • Experience with Microsoft office tools including Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint
  • Experience with written business communication skills
  • Proven reliability, punctuality and regular attendance
