Job Description

The APAC Demand Planner owns the regional demand plan for the Protective Coatings business and the intercompany demand, ensuring a high-quality forecast that accurately reflects market conditions, customer requirements, and commercial strategies. This role supports the end-to-end demand planning cycle, strengthens the demand signal, and provides data-driven insights that enable effective IBP decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Regional demand planning process, consolidating regional and intercompany inputs into a validated forecast with clear assumptions.
  • Collaborate with Regional sales, marketing, and product management to validate launch plans, and end‑of‑life activities, ensuring accurate forecasting for new product introductions and product transitions.
  • Analyze demand drivers, historical trends, seasonality, and market intelligence, and monitor key KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, inventory health) to improve forecast performance and stability
  • Maintain demand-related master data and ensure compliance with PMC standards, global processes, and best practices.
  • Identify demand risks, opportunities, and variances, communicating impacts to key stakeholders.
  • Apply demand‑driven insights to steer supply and inventory strategies, enhancing safety stock performance, service reliability, and obsolescence management.
  • Partner with key supply chain functions to align demand with supply capacity, identify supply risks early, and develop mitigation or continuity plans.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing sustainability of the IBP process, with scenario‑based forecasts (base/upside/downside) and providing insights that enable effective decision‑making in Executive IBP
  • Facilitate monthly demand review cycles for the regional S&OP process.
  • Support ERP/planning system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives across planning and execution.
  • Work effectively in a global matrix environment, coordinating across regions, cultures, and time zones with clear communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, S&OP, or supply chain management.
  • Experience in Marine, Industrial, Chemicals, Lubricants, Automotive, or related B2B markets.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency with forecasting systems and tools (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, APO, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional influencing abilities.
  • Experience in a global matrix organization.
  • Understanding of S&OP, inventory optimization, and supply planning fundamentals.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
