About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the Commodities Technology Team
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of overall Software Engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Open Link Endur
- Mandatory Experience in Open JVS, Java, Open Components
- Should have knowledge of Commodities Natural Gas, Crude and power trading
Desired Qualifications:
- Java Proficiency: Strong command of Java 8+, including modern language features such as Stream/Optional APIs.
- Spring Boot Expertise: Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade microservices with Spring Boot 3.x, including auto-configuration, actuator, profiles, and externalized configuration.
- RESTful API Design: Ability to design clean, versioned REST APIs following OpenAPI/Swagger standards with proper error handling, pagination.
- Build & Dependency Management: Experience with Maven or Gradle, dependency management strategies, and multi-module project structures.
Job Expectations:
- Should be hand on developer and understand the different workflows within Open Link Endur
- Should be able to lead a team of developers
- The candidate will have to work with Middle Office and Front Office teams.
- Should have Good Communication skills
- Candidate will be expected to work with multiple stake holders and ensure timely delivery of the projects
- Required to work in the office as per organization’s In Office Adherence / Return to Office (RTO)
