DEPARTMENT: National Program

POSITION TITLE: Technical Curriculum Developer (Critical Infrastructure)

LOCATION:  Atlanta, GA

REPORTS TO: VP, Product Development

SCHEDULE: Hybrid (3 days on site, 2 days remote)

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a technically-minded Technical Curriculum Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of scalable training solutions for skilled trades in Critical Facilities (Data Centers), Advanced Manufacturing, and beyond.

This role is for a "technical translator"; someone who possesses the rare ability to deconstruct complex engineering systems and rebuild them into structured, high-quality learning modules. You should have a strong foundation in the Electrical, Instrumentation, and PLC/Controls world, while remaining equally comfortable with Industrial Mechanical systems. You are not just a writer; you are a builder who understands how machines and facilities operate and how to teach others to operate and maintain them.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Content Design & Development (70%)

  • Module Creation: Build interactive digital learning modules using Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise) and Google Workspace that are fully integrated into the Canvas LMS.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop comprehensive instructor manuals, detailed lesson plans, facilitation guides, and learner workbooks that provide clear, step-by-step instructions for complex technical tasks using Google Workspace Apps.
  • Visual & Multimedia Aids: Create technical diagrams, multimedia learning aids (videos, animations), and interactive demonstrations for complex systems to help learners visualize "unseen" processes like electricity and fluid flow.
  • Hands-on Lab Design: Design practical laboratory exercises, diagnostic tests, and performance-based assessments for electrical and mechanical systems, complete with rigorous safety documentation.
  • Curriculum Architecture: Assist in translating technical competencies into modular, progressive skill-building sequences, moving from foundational theory to advanced industrial troubleshooting.

Curriculum Maintenance & Feedback (20%)

  • Continuous Improv
