What You'll Do
Our Data Center Operations team is a critical part of our infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our data centers. We work together to maintain a world-class environment for our hardware and data. We are a hands-on, collaborative team that thrives on solving challenges and continuously improving our processes.
About the role:
This apprenticeship is a launching pad for a career in information technology. You'll spend your days learning from experienced technicians, assisting with tasks such as hardware installation, and ensuring that all safety and security protocols are followed. You'll be a key part of the team, helping us maintain a seamless and secure environment while developing your skills from the ground up.
Apprenticeship Cohorts & Location Details
There will be two cohorts for our upcoming Apprenticeship Program:
- Cohort 1: June 8 – July 17
- Cohort 2: August 3 – September 11
The apprenticeship is a 6-week training program. Hands-on training will take place at our Denton, TX site, with the final two weeks completed at your assigned data center location. Housing will be provided during the training program.
At the beginning of the program, apprentices will align with one of our data center sites in Ellendale, ND or Afton, TX during the interview process. Final full-time placement will be determined based on business needs and successful performance throughout the program. Candidates must be willing to relocate to either location.
Who You Are
Candidates must be open to relocating to Ellendale, ND or Afton, TX upon successful completion of the training program. Relocation support and temporary housing during the six-week training period may be available based on individual circumstances to help facilitate the transition.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Must have basic computer literacy and a foundational familiarity with hardware components.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a physically active environment.
- Must have the willingness to work different schedules, which could include nights and weekends.
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled data center. Candidates must be able to perform essential job duties in an environment with fluctuating temperatures and variable airflow—specifically within designated hot and cold aisles—ranging from 60°F to 90°F.
