Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer/Associate to support a large multiyear Finance cloud migration/enablement program using OCI environment. Associate will be responsible for providing OCI technical SME support with regards to OCI Administration (Compute, Storge, IAM/domains, Logging, monitoring/alerting etc.), OCI Networking & managing & troubleshooting various OCI native Iaas/Paas services. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for OCI native services, OCI tenancy build, compute, storage, IAM/identity domains, and overall OCI Admin functions.
  • Support the OCI migration assessment, to include solution architectures, impact analysis, assessment of alternatives.
  • Support the development and manage scheduling of all required technical and engineering activities.
  • Lead the implementation, and sustainment of an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment and supporting components.
  • Identify, analyze, and maintain secure configurations across our technologies.
  • Identify and maintain technology solutions to help support the enterprise's reliability, scalability, availability, security, and performance needs.
  • Strong understanding of OCI core services, including compute, storage, IAM/Identity domains, network, logging, monitoring, security, and cost management.
  • Have a solid understanding of Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), Subnet Lists, Route Tables, network address assignments, firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) & troubleshooting routing issues.
  • Configure, Manage, Audit, and Alert on the Security of the OCI environment using Observability tools.
  • Applications Administration, manage, configure, and maintain the Oracle EBS R12.2.x in on-prem environment
  • Complete and provide required documentation and service request forms to acquire additional hardware and software in accordance with existing procedures.
  • Generate documentation relative to the design, operation, configuration, and security of the environments.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 5-8 years of IT experience with 4 years of progressive experience supporting Oracle Cloud
  • 2+ years of experience implementing and supporting Oracle ERP fusion applications and integrations with Oracle OCI
  • Must have hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
    • OCI Architecture and Administration
    • OCI Networking
    • OCI Security
  • Preference for candidates with one or more OCI technical certifications
  • Experience as Oracle ERP APPS DBA, administering Oracle EBS R12.2+, Oracle Fusion ERP in on-prem or Cloud.
  • Experience in cloning, patching, backup recovery of EBS R12.2+ application including knowledge of ODI & OBIEE, Performance tuning, SQL profiling, DB export/import and some database DBA skills.
  • Good understanding of cloud services roadmaps, reference architectures, standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Collaborates with other architects to ensure the appropriate application of technology and ensure the fit of cloud services into the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required Experience & Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Desired Experience:  

  • Strong scripting skills, i.e., Powershell, Python, Bash, etc. is desired. Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewalling.
  • Deep expertise in designing solutions around Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) native services like OIC, ADW, OAC.
  • Strong understanding of storage, networking, filesystem layout is required.

Location & Hours of Work

  • Hyderabad location, hybrid working with three days in-office per week.
