Job Description
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
6-10yrs experience in enterprise-wide Performance Management frameworks
Basic Management experience of coordinating the work of others
Advanced HR data analytics and insights
High degree of Stakeholder engagement at all levels
Implements and supports the execution of Old Mutual’s enterprise-wide performance management strategy across assigned business cluster. Partners with Human Capital teams and business leaders to deliver performance management processes that are consistent, business-aligned, and future-focused. Provides expert input into performance frameworks, facilitates review cycles and calibration processes, and drives adoption of tools and standards that support a high-performance culture. Supports the use of performance data and insights to inform decision-making and contributes to continuous improvement of frameworks, tools, and practices across the Group.Performance Management | GENERAL | LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION
Support the design and execution of performance management frameworks and processes across assigned segments. Enable consistent delivery of performance cycles and provide guidance to drive fair, business-aligned performance practices that support a high-performance culture.
HR Data Management | INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/DIGITAL | DATA MANAGEMENT
Specify, develop, and test HR data collection procedures and tools within an area of HR practice to meet defined key principles and ensure compliance with external requirements.
Policy Development and Implementation | STRATEGIC OR CORPORATE PLANNING | STRATEGY AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT
Develop Performance Management procedures and interpret and apply policy to achieve performance improvement outputs. Advise the business on application of the policy, then monitor implementation of those procedures within the respective cluster and wider organisation.
HR Frameworks and Tools | HUMAN RESOURCES | HR GENERALISTS
Draft and contribute to the design and improvement of performance management frameworks and tools, ensuring alignment with business needs, internal standards, and regulatory requirements.
HR Data Analytics and Insights | ANALYTICS AND DATA SCIENCE | DATA SCIENCE
Investigate complex hypotheses, using a wide range of HR data to diagnose underlying causes of key business issues and identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement and/or improve business performance. Provide performance-related insights to support talent decision making. Analyse cluster-level talent data (e.g., historical performance rating) and provide input to reporting for leadership and governance forums.
Insights and Reporting | ANALYTICS AND DATA SCIENCE | GENERAL
Contribute to the design of performance reporting templates and dashboards. Lead execution of complex reports. Analyse performance data to identify trends, gaps, and patterns, and translate insights into actionable recommendations that support business decisions and continuous improvement.
Information and Business Advice | GENERAL | ADVICE
Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of performance management procedures, resolving complex or contentious queries and issues and enabling others to take appropriate actions. Support readiness conversations with business to enable the performance management cycle and principles.
Personal Capability Building | GENERAL | INNOVATION
Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Organizational Capability Building | GENERAL | LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION
Provide expert input into performance frameworks and support the facilitation of performance review cycles and calibration processes. Build capability across Human Capital and business teams by delivering training, coaching, and guidance to enable consistent and confident application of performance practices and tools.
Stakeholder Engagement | GENERAL | COMMUNICATION/RELATIONSHIPS
Develop stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders; and developing effective relationships by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and by reacting to these needs, issues, and concerns to support the communication of business information and decisions.
