Job Description

On-site / Eindhoven
We can only consider candidates who already live and work in the Netherlands.

This is what you tell people at parties

Sendcloud is one of Europe’s leading shipping platforms for e-commerce. As we continue to grow, Internal IT plays a key role in how well our people can work. We want workplace technology to be reliable, secure, scalable, and easy to use - from laptops and onboarding to collaboration tools, meeting room tech, access management, and day-to-day support.

That’s why we’re looking for an Internal IT Lead - someone who can lead our small Internal IT team, stay hands-on where it matters, and help us build a modern Internal IT function for a fast-moving, cloud-first company.

This is not a purely managerial role, and it is not a traditional helpdesk role either. It is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys combining people leadership, operational ownership, service improvement, and secure workplace technology.

What makes this role exciting ✨

You’ll lead Sendcloud’s Internal IT function and help shape the employee experience with workplace technology across the company.

This is a chance to shape and mature Internal IT in a modern SaaS company where workplace technology really matters.

You’ll have real ownership and visible impact across the employee experience. You’ll combine leadership with hands-on execution, help grow a small team, and build an Internal IT function that is reliable, scalable, secure, and genuinely helpful.

You’ll make sure the basics work really well - laptops, onboarding, office connectivity, meeting rooms, peripherals, access setup, collaboration tools, and support channels - while also improving structure, automation, lifecycle management, and service quality over time.

You’ll work closely with teams like People, Security, Finance, Platform, and Office Management, while guiding a small Internal IT team and helping it grow in maturity and ownership.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small Internal IT team, initially 1-2 direct reports
  • Deliver a reliable employee IT experience across office-based and hybrid working
  • Own onboarding, role-change, and offboarding IT processes
  • Administer and improve core workplace systems such as Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Jira, password management tools, and other internal applications
  • Manage the lifecycle of laptops, peripherals, and workplace IT equipment
  • Maintain strong access hygiene, device lifecycle control, and application ownership
  • Improve support channels and workflows, including Slack, Jira/service desk processes, documentation, and self-service guidance
  • Help simplify, standardize, and automate Internal IT operations over time
  • Partner with Security and other stakeholders to keep workplace technology secure, reliable, and well-governed

What success looks like

Within your first 6-12 months, we’d expect to see:

  • Employees experience Internal IT as responsive, helpful, and easy to work with
  • Onboarding and offboarding run more smoothly and consistently
  • Workplace systems and device lifecycle are more structured and clearly owned
  • Support channels and workflows are easier to use and better organized
  • The Internal IT team operates with clearer priorities, stronger habits, and better knowledge sharing

Our perfect match

You are hands-on, pragmatic, and structured. You know how to keep day-to-day Internal IT running well, while also improving how the function works over time.

You are comfortable combining operational ownership with small-team leadership, and you know how to help others grow in confidence, ownership, and effectiveness.

We think you’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • 4+ years of experience in Internal IT, workplace IT, IT operations, or a similar environment
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching others in a sm
