You will be part of the global Order-to-Cash Automation team as part of the Business Process Solutions Team within DuPont’s Customer Service & Sales Operations organization, supporting our journey towards flawless and improved order processing.
You will be responsible for designing, monitoring, and managing workflow solutions that streamline the foundation of the Order-to-Cash (OTC) process. By leveraging Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Automate flows, Microsoft 365, Power BI), supporting software solutions and partnering with cross-functional teams, you will drive continuous improvement in order management efficiency and accuracy. The individual in this position will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing existing OTC automation solutions, ensuring they align with governance standards and deliver a high success rate in automation.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & implement automation workflows: Design, build, and maintain Microsoft Power Automate solutions to streamline OTC processes (e.g. order entry, notifications, approvals). This includes creating and modifying Power Automate flows to reduce waste processes in the manual work and increase process speed and accuracy.
- Maintain and optimize automation tools: Continuously monitor the performance of automated workflows and related tools, troubleshooting issues promptly to ensure high reliability. Update and refine existing solutions (flows, scripts, integrations) as business requirements evolve, while ensuring compliance with DuPont’s governance and security standards.
- Process improvement & requirements gathering: Identify opportunities in the Order-to-Cash cycle for process automation and improvement. Analyze current OTC processes by gathering requirements globally from stakeholders, and translate them into automation solutions or user stories.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the Customer Service and Sales Operations team, and other stakeholders to implement automation projects. Ensure solutions integrate smoothly with core systems (such as SAP ERP for order management and Salesforce Service Cloud for customer support) and that business requirements are met.
- Facilitate testing and user training for new automations, incorporating feedback to improve functionality.
- Reporting and analytics: Utilize Power BI and Excel to create dashboards or reports tracking key automation metrics. Provide data-driven insights on the benefits of automation and identify further improvement opportunities.
- Documentation and knowledge sharing: Document all automation workflows, configurations, and standard operating procedures for reference and compliance purposes. Share knowledge and best practices with the broader team and support end-users in adopting new tools.
Your Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent proven experience). Experience on process automation, digital transformation, or customer service/Order-to-Cash role where workflow improvements were implemented is required. Prior experience working on global or cross-functional projects is highly valued.
- Domain Knowledge: Basic understanding of Order-to-Cash business processes in a customer-focused environment. Familiarity with order management, billing, and fulfillment workflows (experience within a DuPont business or similar manufacturing industry is a plus). Hands-on knowledge of SAP order processing (ERP) and related systems is required to effectively design integrated solutions. Basic knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce Service Cloud) and how they interact with OTC processes is beneficial.
- Technical Skills: Advanced experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (especially Power Automate) and with Microsoft 365 tools and environments. Experience with Power BI (or similar reporting tools) for creating simple visualizations or reports is required, as tracking and reporting data is a part of the role. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) and basic scripting are expected. SQL experience is a plus.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work effectively in a global team, communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and provide clear training/support. Proven ability to collaborate across functions and with international teams, building consensus to achieve results.
- Initiative & Results Orientation: Self-motivated and execution-focused – able to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion with supervision. A proactive team player who is willing to learn and adapt, with strong organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Demonstrated agility in a dynamic environment and a passion for continuous improvement in processes.
Additional Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with EDI standards and formats, including key segment structures, codes, and conventions, along with experience interpreting or creating mapping specifications to translate partner data into SAP IDocs, and understanding of mapping tools or VAN processes would be highly valued.
- Working knowledge of SAP SD and IDoc processing, including partner profile configuration and troubleshooting tools, as well as exposure to enterprise integration platforms such as SAP PI/PO or SAP BTP Integration Suite, with an understanding of protocols like AS2, FTP, and API, and how certificates are used in EDI/VAN connections is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of OCR-based automation tools (e.g., Capture), including how to configure templates and resolve data extraction issues is desirable.
- Understanding of how to integrate with customer portals (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, SPS Commerce) using EDI or API, and how to handle structured formats like cXML and EDIFACT XML preferred.
