The Position

Location: Costa Rica or Santo Domingo

Accelerate the sustainable patient access   to medical value solutions  &  healthcare innovation by  :

Shaping and influencing  healthcare systems,  sociopolitical and  relevant stakeholders environment with regard to high medical value, innovation and access.

Demonstrating and communicating the clinical and economic value of medical value solutions.  

Ensuring adoption of high medical value solutions  & innovation.

Protect and build corporate reputation.

The Opportunity:

Market Access

  • Anticipate market trends and drive strategic planning to increase patient access to diagnostic solutions and healthcare innovation

  • Achieve market access goals through tactical implementation, including developing value dossiers, cost-benefit models, and influencing medical guidelines

  • Secure reimbursement and funding opportunities; manage HTA consultations and reimbursement documentation

  • Shape healthcare systems to facilitate adoption of high-value solutions and support strategic tender processes

  • Provide cross-functional collaboration and support

Government Affairs & Policy

  • Lead governmental affairs activities and political stakeholder engagement to support access to Roche Diagnostics and innovation

  • Build and manage relationships with government bodies, MOH, HTA agencies, and key decision-makers

  • Monitor policy trends and emerging issues; identify opportunities and risks for the business

  • Drive policy initiatives that enable population access to diagnostic solutions and healthcare innovation

  • Establish networks of health policy opinion leaders and political influencers to support optimal market access

Who you are:

Biology, Chemist, Medical, Medical Technologist, Health Economist or other Life Science Degrees

Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical or IVD industry in market access, government affairs, policy position

Knowledge of the In Vitro Diagnostics/ HealthCare market is preferred

Understanding of the HealthCare system (reimbursement system, funding sources, Healthcare services delivery system), drivers of change; Public and Private set up.

Experience in public policy and government engagement within the pharmaceutical or health sector

Experience in Preparation / submission of Value dossiers to authorities, HECON models.

Ability to work in challenging, complex and uncertain situations

Travel availability (30-40%)

Fluency in the English/Spanish language, oral and written.
