Job Description:

The IMSC MDM Operations team delivers trusted data to enable the launch & supply of products to our customers. Our key accountabilities include governance and maintenance of the Master Data Operations Framework; delivering a standards-aligned and audit-ready data environment; using intelligent automation, workflow, process improvements, and third-party suppliers to improve quality, timeliness, cost, and effort across Supply Chain; applying deep end-to-end knowledge and subject matter expertise to define, shape and implement supply chain strategies; and cultivating talent as a distinctive capability.

The Manager is responsible for developing and managing Master Data analysts delivering master data services for Innovative Medicine Supply Chain across platforms, multiple domains and/or geographies. This role leads projects, ensures effective policy and strategy implementation, and provides operational and technical leadership. Will own the development of solutions to sophisticated problems, exercising independent judgement to make decisions which directly impact the operational results of the department.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of daily operations ensuring efficiency, compliance, and quality outcomes. Ensure SLA's exist and monitor response time. Lead and control data quality with partners to identify and implement improvements. Engage strategically with business partners by providing appropriate guidance on data management. Work with IT partners to develop new supply chain flows. Support New Product launches and business initiatives requiring in-scope data.

Support regional/global programs in alignment with department strategies. Implement and manage tools and processes to improve data management execution. Drive prioritization based on business needs and strategy.

Makes decisions guided by established policies, procedures, and business plans, while exercising independent judgment and appropriate decision‑making latitude.

Lead projects, including assessment, communication with partners and internal team members, specification of scripts and user stories, resource/budget requirements, and/or resolve resource constraints.

Develop and retain talent through coaching and engagement. Provide mentorship, direction, opportunities, development planning, and performance feedback in accordance with J&J Career Management processes.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A minimum of a Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent through experience is required

Fully competent manager with solid general industry and company knowledge (e.g., Johnson & Johnson or comparable regulated industry). 8+ years of related experience

Demonstrated experience managing processes, functions and teams in an operational environment.

Experience working within defined processes while driving continuous improvement

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of data management experience in the context of large ERP platforms.

  • Expertise in enterprise ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and familiarity with related systems.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and/or SQL for data validation and reporting.

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to succeed in handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, influence multiple partners, and establish common goals and objectives without sacrificing outcomes.

  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills in our business language English.
