Introduction of FG Wilson

FG Wilson and the growth of FG Wilson as a brand is key to Electric Power Division (EPD) growth targets between now and 2030. As we work to deliver this growth strategy for FG Wilson the successful delivery of our Product Support offering and the effective support of our distribution and customers is vital for brand success. Due to investment and expansion of our FG Wilson team an opportunity exists for an individual to join our FG Wilson Product Support Team as a Genset trainer.

Responsibilities

This team orientated position will be part of our expanding global Product Support organisation.

We’re looking for an experienced Genset trainer to deliver hands-on technical training across our FG Wilson generator set business. You’ll work with engineers, technicians, and partners to build real-world capability — from commissioning through to fault-finding and FG Wilson genset lifecycle support.

This is a practical, field-focused role for someone who knows gensets inside out and enjoys developing others.

As an FG Wilson genset trainer you will

  • Deliver classroom, workshop, and as needed on-site in territory genset training on a global basis.
  • Train end users and dealer personnel on FG Wilson diesel generators, genset controls, ATS, and synchronisation processes and systems.
  • Coach trainees on commissioning, genset maintenance, troubleshooting, and standards/ testing.
  • Assess trainee competence and support dealer/ customer technician certification.
  • Promote safe systems of work to established standards.
  • Support customers and dealers with technical capability development.

Skills & Experience

3rd level Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)

Strong hands-on experience with generator sets (3/5 years progressive experience)

Background in genset commissioning, service, or maintenance

Confident communication & people skills which support effective training delivery

Willingness/ ability to travel (up to 50% of time)

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
