Marketing Manager (Fixed-Term) – JLL

What this job involves:

As the Marketing Manager for Outlet Collection Winnipeg, you will lead the centre's marketing initiatives to drive measurable results and deliver exceptional client satisfaction. This role is central to executing JLL's strategic marketing platforms—Marketing for Leasing, Marketing for Sales, and Marketing for Revenue—while developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans that align with the property's business objectives. You will be the brand champion for the centre, building strong relationships with retailers, community leaders, and stakeholders while managing all aspects of marketing execution. This is an exciting position through January 2028, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on one of Winnipeg's premier retail destinations.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Develop and manage annual marketing plans and budgets based on the centre's strategic goals and market research, analyzing sales data, managing public relations, media buying, and tracking program results

  • Execute the property's marketing activities by delivering programs as defined in the marketing plan, identifying and managing suppliers for event installations and campaigns, and maintaining consistent tracking and reporting of performance

  • Coordinate retailer activities including store openings, moves, and closures, ensuring they are prioritized and featured across the centre's digital channels

  • Track centre revenues and marketing expenses against budget, partnering with the Manager, Specialty Leasing to boost revenue and identify cost savings opportunities

  • Manage external agency relationships and scope of work, working closely with property Operations and Guest Services teams to implement campaign elements throughout the shopping centre

  • Build and maintain the brand's position in the local market by fostering strong relationships with store managers, key community leaders and organizations, and regional tourism and hospitality partners

  • Participate in Jones Lang LaSalle taskforces and professional training opportunities as applicable

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

  • 3-5 years of marketing or advertising experience in the retail and/or shopping centre industry

  • Minimum 3 years of customer-focused project management experience

  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities

  • Good understanding of financial statements and accounting principles

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with and influence multiple internal and external stakeholder groups

  • Oral and written proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Marketing experience specifically in retail or shopping centres

  • Flexibility to work after hours and weekends as required due to the nature of the business and extended operating hours
