The Senior Director of Integrated Engagement & Digital Health Innovation is responsible for ensuring Lilly China is best positioned to deliver on Reach & Scale objectives by architecting a clear private ecosystem innovation model. The role will act as a strategic lead to exploring the full breadth of the private ecosystem, identify gaps and opportunities that strengthen Lilly’s market impact, and integrate digital health and telehealth into ongoing efforts to support HCP engagement and patient adherence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Private Ecosystem Strategy & Model Design

  • Holistic Ecosystem Exploration: Conduct a deep-dive exploration of the entire private healthcare landscape to identify high-potential pathways for engagement outside traditional hospital settings.
  • Innovation Framework Development: Design an integrated PE innovation model that leverages digital health, telehealth, etc. to support broader HCP reach and improved patient outcomes.
  • Gap & Opportunity Analysis: Proactively diagnose gaps in current ecosystem efforts and identify strategic opportunities to strengthen Lilly's impact and competitive advantage.
  • Strategic Complementarity: Ensure all PE initiatives are designed to complement and synergize with existing Consumer, E-commerce, and Digital HCP education functions to create a unified value proposition.

2. Digital Health & Strategic Partnerships

  • New Partner Scouting: Identify, evaluate, and bring in new potential partners (e.g., digital platforms, private payers, telehealth providers) to expand Lilly’s ecosystem footprint.
  • Evidence-Based Pilots: Lead strategic innovation pilots to validate new engagement models, ensuring they are scalable and replicable.

3. Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Influence

  • Internal Capability Building: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to educate and align the organization on emerging trends and private ecosystem opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Facilitate integration and strategic alignment across functions/teams to ensure a unified approach to the private ecosystem.
  • Global & Local Alignment: Partner with global teams to share local innovations and ensure China’s PE strategy is aligned with international best practices and standards

Qualification/Requirements

  • Experience: 12-15+ years of healthcare or life sciences experience, with significant tenure in senior leadership roles involving Commercial Strategy, Ecosystem Management, Digital Health, and/or Commercial Excellence.
  • Strategic Acumen: Proven ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations and influence diverse stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Market Insight: Deep understanding of the China healthcare environment, particularly the intersection of digital health platforms and private-sector players.
  • Collaboration Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a track record of building effective working relationships across multiple functions and geographies.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Medicine, Business, or Technology) required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
