Our Zurich office is at the heart of Artefact’s growth, advising clients on their most pressing strategic challenges — from AI strategy and governance to digital transformation roadmaps and new business model design.
Main Responsibilities
As a AI Manager in Pharma & Life Science in our Zurich office, you will be at the intersection of strategy consulting and data/AI innovation. You will:
- Strategy Development: Work with client leadership teams (specifically in the Pharma & Life Sciences sector) to address high-stakes questions: How can AI reshape our business model? How should we govern and organize for data? Which strategic programs deliver the most impact?
- Structured Problem-Solving: Break down complex challenges into clear, actionable recommendations, using frameworks and methodologies rooted in classic strategy consulting, enriched by Artefact’s data and AI expertise.
- Project Delivery: Support engagements end-to-end, from hypothesis framing and market/competitor analysis to client workshops, governance design, and implementation roadmaps.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with C-level stakeholders and business unit leaders. You’ll build trusted relationships, communicate recommendations with clarity, and ensure strategic alignment.
- Knowledge & Practice Building: Contribute to the growth of Artefact’s Zurich office by shaping new offerings, creating intellectual capital (frameworks, thought pieces, benchmarks), and participating in business development.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and foster collaboration within hybrid project teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and team growth.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for an ambitious, analytically minded talent who is passionate about leveraging data and AI to solve business problems. The ideal candidate meets several of the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree (preferred) in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or a related field. An excellent academic track record is highly valued.
- Work Experience: Approximately 5–8 years of experience in strategy consulting with a mandatory focus on the Pharma & Life Sciences sector and with a proven track record of delivering data, analytics, or AI-driven transformation projects.
- Pharma Domain Expertise: Strong grasp of the life sciences ecosystem, including regulatory environments, the drug development lifecycle, and digital health trends.
- Business Acumen & AI Fluency: A strong dual affinity for business and technology. You possess a deep understanding of modern data and AI concepts (e.g., Generative AI, LLMs, predictive machine learning, cloud architectures) and their practical business applications. While you do not need to be a programmer, you must be capable of scoping AI use cases and confidently discussing tech constraints and opportunities with c-level stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of data and digital technologies (e.g. analytics, AI, machine learning concepts, digital marketing, cloud platforms) is expected – you should be tech-savvy and eager to deepen your understanding of the data/AI domain.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with an ability to draw insights from data. You have an analytical mindset and are comfortable handling data-driven analysis to support decision making.
