JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director Talent Development Operations, you will have the opportunity to strengthen Abbott’s talent pipeline by leading the development and implementation of enterprise-wide talent development systems and practices. You’ll provide deep subject matter expertise related to performance assessments, goal setting, talent management reviews, executive coaching, mentoring and career development. This individual will provide consulting and expert support to Business HR partners, colleagues in Talent Development and other HR Practice Centers. Work has a global scope with complex stakeholder management requirements.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Program owner for Abbotts performance management (performance assessments and goal setting) and development planning processes.
- Design and implement processes, tools, communication and training focused on division, functional, and area talent work. Continuously improve processes and outcomes.
- Define technology requirements to support talent processes. Lead or participate in projects to select, design, develop, test, train, and implement technology as needed.
- Manage Abbotts virtual and executive coaching programs, including vendor management, daily operations, and budget.
- Select and manage vendors to support current and anticipated business talent pipeline needs.
- Lead Executive Talent Management Review (ETMR) work with divisions as assigned.
- Manage highly confidential information.
- Manage and ensure effectiveness of existing talent development applications. Resolve problems, provide customer support, and ensure accuracy of outputs. Develop expert level skill with all technology applications.
- Solve complex problems requiring strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Project manage or personally create reports, metrics, and other materials to measure the effectiveness of work.
- Produce flawless documents when perfection is required.
- Manage the integration and onboarding of acquisitions to Abbott talent development processes, philosophies and resources.

- Output of work has executive/suite level visibility and is often highly confidential.

- Budget management of funds related to specific projects and initiatives.
- Lead, develop and motivate a small team of employees.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
- 10 Years of Human Resource experience, with a minimum of 5 years direct involvement in talent focus areas.
- Subject matter expertise in some or all of the following: assessment, succession planning, performance management, talent management technology, talent analytics, business human resources, performance consulting, organization effectiveness, instructional design, executive talent acquisition, mentoring. Some of these may be more critical than others depending on specific assignments.

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Talent Development, Management Information systems or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Travel:
- 10-20%, subject to change based on project assignments. Must be willing to travel globally as needed.
The base pay for this position is
$129,300.00 – $258,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
