The Assistant Manager - Finance will play a critical role in supporting the EMEA Regional Finance team by coordinating, validating, and enriching financial data across markets.
The role acts as a key interface between country finance teams, regional stakeholders, and global partners to ensure high-quality inputs for planning, performance management, cashflow, and external reporting. A strong understanding of Financial Controlling, data validation and how Financial Planning accuracy impacts our financials is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Data Validation & Performance Analytics
- Validate monthly and quarterly sales actuals across EMEA markets, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across financial systems.
- Perform analytical reviews of sales trends, variances, and outliers to identify data integrity issues or inconsistencies.
- Support regional performance reviews by providing validated datasets and analytical insights. Sales Planning & IBP System Validation
- Validate sales planning and IBP submissions to ensure alignment between country inputs, regional assumptions, and system outputs.
- Perform system checks across planning tools to ensure correct application of volumes, pricing, and growth drivers.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues impacting regional planning views. PVM Data Quality & Enrichment
- Perform Price-Volume-Mix (PVM) validation and enrichment, ensuring drivers are correctly calculated, classified, and consistently applied.
- Review PVM outputs for logical accuracy and alignment with sales performance narratives. EMEA Financial Planning Validation (Sales, HC, OPEX)
- Validate regional financial planning data covering Sales, Headcount, and OPEX across planning and reporting systems.
- Perform cross-checks between country submissions, regional consolidations, and system-generated outputs.
- Highlight data inconsistencies, structural issues, or deviations from regional planning assumptions. Gross Profit (GP) & Margin Validation
- Validate GP calculations and drivers, including volumes, Intercompany Prices (ICPs), and Manufacturing Cost Prices (MCPs).
- Perform system-level checks to ensure GP flows correctly from source systems into regional reporting. •
- Support resolution of GP variances through analytical root-cause assessment. BVA / Latest Thinking Validation
- Review Business Variance Analysis (BVA) and latest thinking inputs for analytical consistency, completeness, and system alignment.
- Ensure variance explanations are supported by validated financial data and system outputs. Ad-hoc Regional Data & System Validation
- Perform ad-hoc financial, operational, and system validations to support EMEA regional leadership requests.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on data quality, system reliability, and reporting standardization across EMEA.
Qualifications:
- CA Qualified.
- Minimum of 5-8 years relevant business experience in a sophisticated and international environment is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence personnel across functions and levels
- Experience in a business partnership role, with the ability to understand complex business dynamics and navigate matrix organization
- Proven agile attitude and creative mentality, comfortable driving change and innovation. • Demonstrates comfort in times of ambiguity.
- Experience with working in global / virtual environments is a plus.
- Should work independently and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong technical and accounting expertise (US GAAP, ERPs, SigniFI) with strong compliance mentality.
- Project management experience would be a great asset
- Positive, with a can-do attitude, but realistic and not afraid to say no
- Proficiency in English required.
