Intel CAIGC (AI and GPU IP Center of Excellence) is dedicated to advancing cutting-edge AI technologies and foundational software ecosystems. By collaborating with operating system vendors (OSVs), independent software vendors (ISVs), and developers, the team builds an end-to-end AI software ecosystem that empowers customers to deliver differentiated user experiences. The team focuses on two key areas

• Enabling the AI PC ecosystem through dedicated NPU IP.
• Delivering full-stack GPU IP solutions that span Intel’s integrated and discrete graphics markets, offering seamless delivery from chip IP to system platforms to support the GPU technology roadmap.

The center’s value lies in reshaping end-user experiences through AI and driving high-performance computing with GPU technologies, reinforcing Intel’s leadership in the AI PC and graphics domains.

We are currently hiring AI Framework Engineer for the Intel CAIGC team in Shanghai. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn new things, embrace challenges, and demonstrate strong teamwork..

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• AI Technology Research and Validation: Conduct research on emerging AI technologies (e.g., model quantization, graph structure transformation), and deploy and optimize proof-of-concept (PoC) projects on Intel platforms.
• Large Language Model (LLM) Performance Evaluation and Tool Development: Perform performance testing on the latest LLMs on Intel platforms and develop functional modules for testing tools.
• Performance Analysis and System Optimization: Analyze performance test results, identify software bottlenecks (e.g., operator latency, memory usage), and propose optimization strategies to improve inference speed and resource efficiency。

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or other relevant languages for AI software development. • Experience with AI frameworks such as PyTorch,OpenVINO, Hugging Face Transformers, vLLM, SGlang • Strong knowledge of artificial intelligence fundamentals, distributed systems, and algorithms. • Familiarity with profiling tools and techniques for identifying performance inefficiencies in models. • Demonstrated ability to optimize code for various hardware backends, including CPUs, GPUs. • Experience and intention in developing or leveraging AI based software workflows Preferred Qualifications • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex computational and algorithmic challenges. • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. • A passion for driving innovation and contributing to transformative AI technologies.

The Software Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
