About the role:

At FIS we are looking for an experienced and motivated Solution Engineering (Presales) Manager who can successfully lead and manage a team of solution consultants for Trading and Risk in the Capital Markets division of FIS. Your unique expertise will help us advance the way the world pays, banks and invests, while you advance your own career with a growing, global organization.

What you will be doing:

This is a Presales management role with broad understanding of Front Office processing across financial institutions covering: Cross Asset Trading and Risk.

You will:

  • Manage a team of experienced consultants across FIS’ Trading and Asset Services covering Front Office solutions.

  • Lead change management initiatives in partnership with stakeholders including adjustments to organizational operating structures, sales strategies, territory coverage, etc…

  • Ensure the team delivers on their core deliverables:

    • Understand global industry best practices, regional regulatory landscape and local operating nuances

    • Identify and qualify the client’s business and functional requirements including responding to any RFI/RFP’s in a professional and timely manner.

    • Formulate a value proposition to meet client needs and solution to close any identified gaps with internal stakeholders.

    • Ensure excellence in client engagement practices.

    • Build customer relationships by providing both domain and solution expertise.

  • Monitor team performance and KPI’s under a constant improvement approach.

  • Create tailored Individual Development Plans for each team member and provide relevant coaching as part of active performance management.

Regional Sales Activities

  • Provide a central point of contact for EMEA sales for Trading, Risk and Asset Services - Front Office.

  • Collaborate with regional sellers to align strategy and priorities to formulate relevant Go-To-Market initiatives.

  • Participate in business development activities to build incremental pipeline.

  • Work with Marketing, Strategy and other FIS functions on researching new market verticals and opportunities.

  • Monitor engagements between team members and sales team to anticipate and manage any potential escalation.

Partner with Product Management

  • Ensure regular cadence with relevant global and regional product management team to collaborate on development initiatives as well as to share context, challenges and needs of clients.

  • Work closely with solution management.

Global and Regional Collaboration

  • Help build and maintain regional and global solution engineering processes, supporting documentation and collaterals via the relevant Centre of Excellence.

  • Actively participate in global management calls to improve region visibility.

  • Interface with the Professional Services, Client experience (Support) and Development organizations.

What you will need:

  • At least 10 years of experience working in a relevant business area or consultancy with management experience in: Cross Asset Trading and Risk.

  • Extensive experience in providing technical training and role-based coaching.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of business practices and regulatory landscape in key markets across EMEA.

  • Holistic understanding of the sales cycle from initial prospection to contract closing.

  • Ability to work autonomously whilst providing support to the team.

  • Enhanced time management and prioritization skills

  • Outstanding client engagement abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
