JOB DESCRIPTION TEMPLATE

Position Title:  Technical Coordinator  - New Business and Transitions team

Role Description:

The Technical Coordinator will be responsible for the set-up and production of new business activity across EMEA Fund Accounting. The candidate will be the subject matter expert on the team for all new business specific requirements. Should work independently and be able to provide training to new partners within the team. Should take a key role in the handover of business to the Fund Accounting business unit and any associated training.

Core Skills & Competencies Required:

Experience

  • Strong knowledge and experience of Fund Accounting
  • An understanding of the industry and NT, in particular NT’s systems, infrastructure and process/data flows
  • New business and/or transitions experience preferred
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn new activities and be a team player
  • Strong communication, internal and external client-servicing skills

Systems

  • Detailed knowledge of InvestOne Enterprise and related Fund Accounting applications
  • Understanding of how Fund Accounting systems link and interface to other systems and an appreciation of how to implement such interfaces (e.g. TLM)
  • Experience with vendors’ systems preferred (Bloomberg, Reuters etc)
  • Advanced proficiency of MS Office specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Process Skills

  • Analytically and procedurally competent to represent the team on cross-function process or project deliverables
  • Ability and desire to adhere to automation and standardisation of processes and propose enhancements
  • Work independently with little guidance from manager
  • Ability to provide input into long term strategy for department

Client Service

  • Demonstrate an excellent NT client service culture and ensure that all clients receive a quality service
  • Ensure accuracy and timings are consistently achieved within the team and when not achieved actively pursue a solution.
  • Collaborate and consult with project/assignment stakeholders with ease. Prepare and recommend solutions to project/assignment issues and risk factors. Provide regular updates to the stakeholders on project status

Major Duties / Key Responsibilities:

  • To be the technical and subject matter expert on new business in Fund Accounting Bangalore and handle fund activity as agreed with the EMEA location(s)
  • Core production activities performed - inspecies, valuations, mergers
  • Support EMEA new business resource in the completion of transitions
  • Work closely with Consulatnt and Sr.Consultant to derive at areas of improvement within the team
  • Lead knowledge share sessions with the team
  • Document and maintain any new procedures within the process
  • Identify and respond to operational risk throughout the business unit
  • Ensure all scheduled work is completed by agreed deadlines, checklists are signed & all agreed backups saved
  • Minimise errors in all deliverables at all stages
  • Demonstrate learning and experience
