We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. Meet our software engineers!

Meet some of our software engineers who are shaping the future of autonomy and delivering world-class solutions helping customers shorten time to market. Hear about what brought them to Applied Intuition, what’s kept them interested, and their advice to potential candidates.

About the role

On Mission Sim, we are taking Applied’s expertise in on-road simulation and autonomy tools and applying it to multi-domain, large-scale simulation for collaborative autonomy. It is a “startup within a startup” moving with day-long iteration cycles, and supplying much-needed autonomy tooling to the Defense industry.

As a newer product team, each engineer on Mission Sim works across many different areas of development, including:
  • Frontend UI/UX for 3D rendering and selection tools
  • Backend application implementation in a state-of-the-art simulator
  • Integration of our tools with real autonomous vehicle stacks
  • Much more!

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Develop simulation and data tools to support collaborative autonomy development
  • Work closely with real users of our tools every day, quickly delivering new features to unblock them
  • Build on top of a state-of-the-art simulation platform developing new sensor and motion models, 3D-based user interfaces and features, and any other features that our users would benefit from
  • Support the Defense industry, accelerating the development of collaborative autonomy

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience developing software quickly (we use C++ and TypeScript + React, which you can learn on the job if you don’t have experience with them already)
  • A hunger to learn and grow into a position of ownership and impact on a new product team
  • U.S. citizenship (legally required)

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
