As a Program Manager, you will oversee the implementation and ongoing management of programs within the new Center for Cardiovascular Genomics. This role involves planning, developing, and maintaining systems and procedures, serving as a liaison between the department and external stakeholders, and providing coaching and mentorship within the team. Working closely with the Director and senior leadership, the Program Manager will support infrastructure development, personnel onboarding, and daily operations to ensure the center’s programs run efficiently and effectively. This position is instrumental in building the center’s infrastructure, onboarding personnel, and facilitating day-to-day operations.
A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Develop, implement, manage, and maintain operational systems and activities.
Serve as a liaison with all levels of the organization and outside the community.
Manage multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines.
Allocate time to meet completion requirements.
Serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Review and monitor adherence to Human Resources policies and corporate compliance procedures.
Own day-to-day operations for the Center, including development of SOPs/workflows for project intake, prioritization, and execution, as well as organization of physical and computational infrastructure.
Manage the Center’s project portfolio: timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risk/issue tracking across multiple parallel efforts.
Partner with Finance/Research Administration on budget tracking, purchasing/procurement, and reporting for Center activities.
Build and maintain executive-ready status updates and operational dashboards for Center leadership.
Coordinate deliverables, timelines, and reporting for sponsored projects and research agreements.
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders (clinical partners, scientists, vendors, collaborators) around critical timelines and milestones.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field and five years of related experience
OR Master’s Degree and four years of experience
Knowledge of statistical and financial analysis, primary research and business plan development
Strong presentation, communication and training skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Master’s degree
Healthcare settings
Currently working in HVTI or Genetics in Lerner at CC or as an RN
Science background
Research experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
