We are excited to announce an opening for a Principal Test Conductor (Level 3)/ Sr. Principal Test Conductor (level 4).  This position is 100% on site at our Gilbert, AZ location. The successful candidate must be able to work 1st shift 7:00am – 4:30pm OR 2nd shift 3:00pm - 12:30am. Join our innovative team and contribute to the future of space systems manufacturing!

The Principal Test Conductor (Level 3)/ Sr. Principal Test Conductor (level 4) is responsible for ensuring that engineering tests align with mission objectives and that all required mechanisms are in place for successful execution. This role oversees the operational aspects of Wire Harness tests, acts as the primary liaison between program, engineering, and line management, and manages the testing of all Wire Harnesses. The Test Conductor evaluates test requirements, builds adaptor cables, writes functional tests, performs functional tests, prepares test reports, and collaborates with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to resolve test anomalies.

The job duties involve the following:

  • Test Planning & Execution

  • Generate test plans support mission objectives and compliance requirements.

  • Perform test setups and safety checks before each test.

  • Conduct testing of all incoming wire harnesses.

  • Research and build test adaptor cables.

  • Oversee day‑to‑day test activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and procedures.

  • Maintain traceability of test data, results, and documentation in accordance with quality standards.

  • Serve as the central point of contact between program management, engineering, and production line teams.

  • Communicate test status, risks, and findings to stakeholders.

  • Review test anomalies, help root‑cause analysis with Manufacturing Engineer

  • Work with Tech Writers and Quality Engineering to update procedures and ensure compliance.

  • Prepare test summary reports and post‑test analyses.

  • Maintain accurate records in MES, PTC Windchill, or other designated systems.

Basic Qualifications Level 3

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of related experience, OR a Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; OR a Ph.D with 1 year of experience

  • HS diploma with 6 years of experience in operations, manufacturing or aerospace industry

  • 2 years of manufacturing or the aerospace industry.

  • 2 years with process flows, manufacturing principles, and production operations

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to produce clear technical documentation

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and schedules simultaneously

Basic Qualifications Level 4

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of related experience, OR a Master's Degree with 6 years of experience; OR a Ph.D with 4 year of experience

  • HS diploma with 12 years of experience in operations, manufacturing or aerospace industry

  • 5 years of manufacturing or the aerospace industry.

  • 5 years with process flows, manufacturing principles, and production operations

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to produce clear technical documentation

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and schedules simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands on experience with wire harness assembly and testing on WEETECH.

  • Advanced proficiency with the full Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as:

  • MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)

  • Deltek Costpoint

  • Deltek Shop Floor Time

  • PTC Windchill

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,000.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $138,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
